I have managed to stick to my square a day mandate on the rambling rows afghan. If I can keep this up, I can have it done in time for my friend's birthday. It is, of course, very easy knitting and while the knitting itself is a tad boring, it is interesting to see how the color scheme is coming out.
I am about halfway across the top row of the afghan. I have lots of mitered squares to go.
Life is otherwise quiet. I have been preparing for the upcoming semester (which seems to be hurtling itself towards me at lightning speed) and trying to get the last bits of work done before the start of classes. I have my plane ticket for my PhD defense, so I will be heading back to North Carolina the last weekend of this month. Its going to be a bit weird visiting my old home in a way. I'll only be there for two days, but still, a little bit weird.
Meanwhile it is a hot, hazy, and lazy afternoon. Even Milo has decided that he is going to take a nap and ignore the world. I think I might just join him in that.
Your blanket is going to look really neat.
I think I may join Milo too. I just love how kitties cover their eyes and nose with their par sometimes.
